King of Comedy, Dolphy Passed Away - July 10, 2012

The King of Comedy, Dolphy has passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. He was admitted at the Makati Medical Center after complaining of shortness of breath last June 16, 2012. He was 83 years old.

In year 2009, Dolphy was diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). He fighting for almost 5-years in his pulmonary disease.

Yesterday, Makati Medical Center released  an statement that Dolphy passed away at exactly 8:34 p.m. due to multiple organ failure secondary to complications brought about by severe pneumonia, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and acute renal failure.

Dolphy was widely recognized as the Philippines' "King of Comedy" for his comedic talent embodied by his long roster of works on stage, radio, television and movies, according to wikipedia.org.
